Where Bound by Moments began

Our story began earlier this year, when I was talking to my brother about the Fiji trip he'd recently had with his family. He and his wife had planned it for months and spent a lot to make it special. He wanted to give his kids the kind of core childhood memories that last a lifetime, and it was everything he hoped for. They swam and snorkelled in crystal clear waters, and they even got to feed baby turtles.

A few weeks after they got home, he noticed the stories were getting shorter, and the trip was already starting to fade. He did everything he could to hold onto it for them, weaving it into bedtime stories and asking them about the day with the turtles etc., but he could see those amazing moments might not be landing as memories.

We talked it through, and one idea was simply to get the kids back in front of the photos. My fiancée suggested we try turning the photos into colouring pages. What happened next is the reason this company exists. The kids didn't just colour. They studied each photo as they went, telling their Mum and Dad the whole story of what was happening in it. They lit up colouring pictures of themselves. They were so proud they called Grandma and Grandpa to show them their art. The whole trip came flooding back, and now it was the kids telling the stories. That's when I realised something magic had just happened:

By colouring their own photos, they had turned those holiday moments into the core childhood memories my brother had wanted for them all along.
